Edwina Barthelemy, FNPFamily Nurse Practitioner Edwina Barthelemy is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a passion for women's health and wellness. She attended George Mason University, graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. in community health in 2014, and then a B.S. in nursing in 2015. After working as a registered nurse for 8 years, and gaining experience from various specialties, she returned to GMU for her master’s degree, which she completed in 2023.
As a registered nurse, Edwina worked mostly in labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum. This is where she first discovered her love for women’s health. She supports a collaborative approach to care, and strives to make every patient feel safe, heard, and accepted – especially those in marginalized groups. Her goal is to practice evidence-based, patient-centered care and prioritize the whole person, not just their symptoms, to help patients achieve their best possible health. Edwina is a proud Haitian American who grew up in northern Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her parents and friends, singing in her local church choir, listening to music, writing, and browsing her favorite bookstores. |
